Various Ways to Support the Department
Donate to the ECE Department online!
Your contribution to our fundraising efforts - no matter the size - will make a difference. You may donate to show your confidence in the U of U, to benefit the best and brightest studentsin Utah, or even to enjoy the tax benefits of charitable donation.
Make a Gift or Pledge

Matching Gifts
Give twice the gift! Many employers have a charitable gift matching program. To find out if your employer will match your gift, check with the Human Resources department or search the Matching Gift Employer Database.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts, such as a Charitable Remainder Trust, can actually help you increase your available income by making a generous gift to the College of Engineering. Effective estate planning can have real advantages for you, while at the same time helping us!
Securities and Property
Your gift of appreciated securities, like stock held in a brokerage account or by you in stock certificates, or gifts of property have the potential to provide you with major tax breaks and satisfy your philanthropic interests.
Memorial and Honor Gifts
Many opportunities exist to make gifts to the University of Utah in memory or honor of a loved one or friend. These gifts are recognized in various facilities throughout campus.
Equipment Donations
Sometimes individuals, businesses, or corporations prefer to help by giving equipment needed in our labs and other facilities. Because lab equipment is often very expensive, this donation can greatly increase the research capabilities of the ECE Department. Equipment gifts also have the same tax benefits as cash gifts.
