Goldwater Fellowship
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program was established by Congress in 1986 to honor Senator Barry M. Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years of service in the U.S. Senate. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students who intend to pursue careers in these fields.

College of Engineering Wayne Brown Fellowships
Outstanding PhD candidates graduating from US undergraduate institutions may be eligible for the College of Engineering Wayne Brown Fellowships. The first prerequisite for this fellowship is being accepted to a U of U PhD program in the College of Engineering so candidates should apply as soon as possible.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Graduate STEM Fellowship
The nine month Fellowship Program offers exceptional Latinos who have earned at least a master's degree within three years of the program start date, unparalleled exposure and hands-on experience.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Applicants must be U.S. citizens holding a B.A. degree or equivalent before the beginning date of the grant. Provides round-trip travel, tuition, books, and stipend for one academic year. Approximately 1,300 awards are available for study in over 140 countries. Applies to course work, master's or dissertation research.

Georges Lurcy Fellowship for Study in France
An award for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who want to study or undertake research in France. The research topic should pertain to France and be one that can be pursued only in that country. A stipend will be provided for one academic year to cover the cost of travel, educational fees, and living expenses in France.

The Hertz Foundation mission is to provide unique financial and fellowship support to the nation's most remarkable PhD students in the physical, biological and engineering sciences. Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship Program
The Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship is a two-year fellowship program for outstanding PhD students nominated by their universities. This program supports men and women in their third and fourth years of PhD graduate studies. To be eligible for this fellowship, you must apply during your second or third year of PhD studies. Fellowships are granted by Microsoft Research at the discretion of Microsoft.

UC MEXUS-CONACYT Doctoral Fellowships for Mexican Students
Provides up to five years of funding for Mexican students doing their doctoral studies at one of the ten University of California campuses. Students may pursue doctoral studies in most of the academic disciplines, with the exception of the arts. Provides full non-resident tuition, fees, a stipend, and support towards health insurance.

NASA Postdoctoral Program
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique postdoc research opportunities to highly talented national and international individuals to engage in ongoing NASA research programs at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institution.
