In CNN Money's recent article focusing on the top 10 booming jobs, various fields of electrical and computer engineering showed up among the fastest growing.
Biomedical engineering and telecommunications engineering, both fields with close ties to modern electrical and computer engineering, were selected as the #1 and #2 best careers with big opportunities for growth in the coming decade.
In fact, 3 of the top 5 jobs are engineering careers in the interdisciplinary fields of electrical and computer engineering, including biomedicine, telecommunications, environmental engineering, and more.
