Prof. Solzbacher and the U featured in Salt Lake Magazine

Florian Solzbacher's research at the U and his start-up company Blackrock Microsystems were recently featured in Salt Lake Magazine's article "Utes Lead the Way" on the University of Utah's recent accomplishment: #1 University in the U.S. for producing start-up companies.

Salt Lake Magazine featured Florian Solzbacher, ECE Professor and Blackrock Microsystems founder, where Florian discussed his research and interest in a wireless neural interface, which is an electronic device that can be implanted in the brain to control prosthetic limbs and help study and treat neurological disorders.

The biographical highlight was part of a more general article exploring technology development at the University of Utah. In 2010, the U was named the #1 school in the nation for producing start-up companies.
