Chair, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Utah
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is accepting applications and nominations for the position of Chair at the rank of Professor. The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field, a distinguished record of research and professional achievement, demonstrated leadership skills, and commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. The University of Utah is the flagship of Utah’s higher education system and includes medical, law and business schools, and is very active in technology transfer. The Department has strong multidisciplinary research programs and is made up of faculty with national and international visibility. The Department and the College of Engineering have been growing in recent years with significant support from the State of Utah; the ideal Chair candidate will position the Department to take long-term advantage of growth opportunities. The University is located in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area at the foothills of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.
