Prof. Faisal Khan received a 30-month grant for $216,000 from DOE
November 26, 2013Prof. Faisal Khan has received a grant of $216,000 from DOE as part of a large initiative led by Sandia worth nearly $ 1.4 M for the next 30 months. Sandia National Laboratories, TUV Rheinland PTL, Arizona State University, the University of Utah, Robert Bosch LLC, and ViaSol Energy Solutions are partnering under the SunShot Initiative to carry out the PREDICTS project (Physics of Reliability: Evaluating Design Insights for Component Technologies in Solar). The DOE SunShot initiative is a collaborative national effort that aggressively drives innovation to make solar energy fully cost-competitive with traditional energy sources before the end of the decade.
