Conventions:

* Years in bold identify the next mandatory review.

* Year 2009 refers to a review taking place during the academic year 2009-2010.

* Past dates are those of past reviews while future dates are those of upcoming reviews mandated by policy.

* + means that an approved leave resulted in a delay of the mandatory review by 1 year.

General rules:

* Retention: add 2 years to the start year (faculty starting in Spring get an extra year).

* Tenure: add 6 years to the start year if started as an Assistant Professor before Fall 2007, add 5 years if started as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2007 or later, add 4 years if started as an Associate Professor.

* Tenure reviews may occur earlier as described in policies and procedures. In particular, assistant professors hired before Fall 2007 may request a non-reversible advance of their tenure review by 1 year.

* 5-year review: add 5 years to the last formal RPT review or 5-year review. For faculty serving as Department Chair or Dean, add 5 years to the last year of appointment as Chair or Dean.
