Year 2004-2005

• 13 Oct 2004: Micron Information Session, 4:00 pm, Student Union Theater
• 14 Oct 2004: Science and Engineering Career Fair, Student Union
• 14 Oct 2004: Micron Information Session, 4:00 pm, EMCB 102. 

  Refreshments will be provided. Staffing Representative Scott Snarr and Technical Representatives Joseph Richards and Dave Keller will discuss the Semiconductor Industry, Micron as a company, and the positions it has to offer new college graduates and intern/co-op students. This session is targeted mainly toward Electrical, Computer, and Chemical Engineering students for full-time and internship positions. Micron will also be happy to present any technical information that you are interested in.

• 1 Nov 2004: IEEE Member Meeting, 3:30 pm, room TBA

  We will be having an IEEE meeting to make plans for the upcoming year. We have several activities to plan (for example, a three-college EE job fair in the spring), and we need students who are willing to take a little responsibility and help us out. If you're not able to attend, but would still like to help out, send me an email at aaron.jorgensen@ieee.org.

• 13 Nov 2004:USU Space Dynamics Lab Tour, 11:00 am

  We have a field trip planned to USU's Space dynamics lab on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 am. This tour is for all IEEE members. USU's IEEE branch has invited us to visit the lab (http://www.sdl.usu.edu/), which is a must-see for anyone interested in space engineering. The space dynamics lab is involved in:

  • Sensor Design
  • Calibration and Testing of Sensor Arrays
  • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (Data Processing and Transmission)
  • Cryogenics and Thermal Analysis
  • Space Agriculture
  • Rockets and Satellites
  • Ground-Based Observation
  • Contamination Control
