CE Senior Project 3992/4710 Peer Group Evaluation A quarter of your grade is based on the individual effort, technical contribution to the team, and team skills. Your honest, impersonal evaluation of each team member is critical to this process! Use this form to fairly and critically evaluate the performance of you and your team members. These forms must be filled out individually and confidentially, and e-mailed to the instructor. the specifics of your evaluation will remain confidential and will not be shared with other team members. DIRECTLY EMAIL THIS FORM TO THE INSTRUCTOR: Ken Stevens ====== Instructions: You will partition your evaluation into three aspects, and then you will provide an overall grade. Make sure you evaluate yourself as part of this process. Following are the guidelines for the evaluation of each section for you and your team members: EFFORT: The effort for this course is evaluated as the sum of your effort on this project. This can include time spent in 3992, the summer working on your project, and 4710. The absolute minimum effort for this class is the university standard: 3 hours spend each week for each hour of the class. Thus it is 15 weeks * 3 hours per week * 6 class credits = 270 hours. This is almost the same as two months on a full time job! This includes time actively working on the project such as time in meetings, on the internet or phone with suppliers, and performing documentation. It does not count time thinking about problems and bugs while in the shower and other passive activities (even though doing so is important!). Also note, that the time that you count should be productive effort with your full attention. TEAM SKILLS: Your team was responsible for the management and operation of your project. This is a critical role that should be evaluated as part of your project, and often is as important as technical roles. Incomplete projects are often due to poor team organization and management, or members with poor team skills. Rate the team skills of each member of your team, including whether the member participated in meetings, worked well with the rest of the team, and appropriately helped other team members. If a team member plays a management role, (such as collecting progress and ensuring team deadlines are met, organizing meetings, developing and reporting documentation) credit this contribution and report their role in the brief description of the contribution of each individual below. TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION: Report on the technical contribution of each team member. Evaluate the quality, creativity, and difficulty of the contributions. In the short writeup below, note the primary technical contributions that each team member made (including yourself). ====== Evaluation Form: On a scale of 1 to 12, grade each of the members of your group including yourself for their overall contribution to the project. Consider a score of 10 as a perfect grade, and 12 going far beyond the call of duty - an effort worthy of extra credit. Be as objective as possible. INCLUDE YOURSELF AS A TEAM MEMBER: Name of team member #1: Name of team member #2: Name of team member #3: Name of team member #4: Name of team member #5: #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 Effort: Technical Contribution: Team skills: Overall Team Grade: Briefly describe the contributions of each team member (including yourself) and provide a short but critical justification of the score you gave them:
