Electrical and Computer Engineering celebrates the 145 students who participated in the John and Marcia Price College of Engineering Convocation on Friday, May 1, 2026.

At the convocation, ECE graduate and current postdoctoral fellow Dr. Marshall Trout, recognized with the Outstanding Dissertation Award for his PhD thesis “Improving the Functionality and Translatability of Noninvasive Neuroprosthetics for the Hand”.

In the Spring 2026 convocation:

  • 39 students applied for graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering
  • 68 students applied for graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 34 students applied for graduation with a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • 4 students who applied for graduation with Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Students participate in the convocation of the John and Marcia and College of Engineering.

College Dean Charles Musgrave told the graduates that among all the colleges at the University of Utah, graduates of the College of Engineering have the highest salaries.
