Combined Bachelor/Master Degree Program

Admissions

Students will be offered admission to the combined degree program by invitation after completion of ECE 3900, Junior Seminar with a cumulative GPA of 3.3.  If you have not received an invitation and meet the requirements, please contact the Graduate Coordinator, Lori Sather. 

Only full-time students currently enrolled in major status in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering are admitted to the program.  International students are not eligible for the combined degree program.

Transfer students must complete 24 credit hours as degree-seeking students with a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the University of Utah before admission will be offered to the combined degree program.

Upon reaching graduate level, students are admitted to the Master of Science Coursework Option but may transfer to the Master of Science Thesis or Project Option upon the approval of their Supervisory Committee Chair.  A recommendation letter from their intended research advisor is required.
