Departmental Scholarships


Undergraduate scholarships are available for freshman, transfer students, and University of Utah continuing students who are majoring or intend to major in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

On average, the John and Maria Price College of Engineering awards approximately 450 scholarship awards per year, totaling more than $1.7 million.

Scholarship Application

Students only need to complete one application to be considered for both departmental and college scholarships.The scholarship application for the next academic year will open in the December of each school year and close the following February.

  1. Complete your FAFSA (international students do not need to have a FAFSA on file)
  2. Complete the PCE Scholarship Application

ECE Scholarships

The department awards tuition waivers for students. Tuition waiver recipients must be Utah residents seeking their first bachelor’s degree. Additional information about other available scholarships is located here.

Use the “Engineering Scholarships – Search” and select Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering to search scholarships for each program to get more information.

Note that there are also scholarships at the University level and 3rd-party scholarships that Computer and/or Electrical Engineering students need to apply to separately than the College and Department Level scholarships.
