“My talk will provide an overview of various kinds of display technologies, including fundamental building blocks in the display stack, state of art manufacturing techniques, and a quick product overview. Also, I plan to cover emerging display technologies like OLED, Micro‐LED, etc. to give participants a glimpse of what to expect in the future,” said Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation, Kunjal Parikh.

Kunjal Parikh is a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation and responsible for driving display innovations towards delivering revolutionary end products for Intel and its customers. Kunjal has over 15 years of experience in the display industry starting from Samsung in South Korea developing OLED technology from grounds up and taking it from the conceptual stage into production that exists in various mobile products. After Samsung, Kunjal held several engineering and product leadership roles at start-ups, HP and now at Intel. At Intel, Kunjal is leading several incubation efforts from concept to scale in areas of high-performance displays towards next-generation PC innovation with the vision to enrich the lives of every human being on the planet with the technology. Kunjal is the author of more than 50 peer-reviewed high impact factor publications and more than 50 patents (issued and pending) on diverse technologies including circuits, optics, architecture, process integration, etc. Kunjal enjoys evangelizing emerging technologies and often gets invited to present his vision in leading industry events. Kunjal has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. Kunjal is happily married with two kids and volunteers at local schools in his free time to enrich STEM activities in young kids around the Bay Area.
